This Web site has been developed by a member of Mount Gambier Bowls Club in the hope that it will be of interest to bowlers and potential bowlers of all ages who might like to try bowling as a social and sporting activity. It is particularly aimed at promoting the sport in the Lower South East of South Australia. We would welcome feed back and questions from visitors to this site. Guests are very welcome at the Club so call in and see us next time you are in the area. Mount Gambier is located in the South East of S.A. Halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne,via Riddoch Highway from Adelaide or Great Ocean Road from Melbourne. It has a membership in excess of 150 and provides bowling activities daily; during summer months from September to April. The Club is located opposite the Park Hotel where meals and poker machines may be enjoyed after bowling. The club was opened by Hon Geo Riddoch on Wednesday 30th November 1904 which makes it the oldest country club in South Australia.
